Nasceu em Madrid. Estudou com Emilio Pujol, sendo um dos seus alunos predilectos. Em 1961 obtem o primeiro prémio do Concurso Internacional da ORTF. Solista de reputação internacional é professor da École Normal de Musique de Paris e do Conservatório Nacional de Paris, onde tem formado gerações de guitarristas do maior mérito.

 Born in Madrid, he is one of the most Emilio Pujol prominent’s pupils. In 1961 he won the first prize of the International Guitar Contest held by ORTF. Outstanding soloist of international reputation teaches at the École Normal de Musique in Paris, as well as at the National Conservatoire of Paris.

Regulamento

Sempre que o professor julgar necessário, o aluno deverá prestar uma prova a fim de ser admitido como executante. O aluno não admitido como executante passará à categoria de ouvinte, sendo reembolsado da diferença da sua matrícula. O aluno executante pode assistir, como ouvinte sem encargos, a todos os cursos. No fim dos cursos serão atribuídos os respectivos certificados de frequência, realizando-se concertos públicos com os alunos mais destacados.

Inscrição e Matrícula

A importância de  € 50.- referente à inscrição, não é reembolsável. A admissão de alunos só é permitida após a regularização da matrícula e na posse do respectivo cartão de acesso. A não frequência às aulas não dará direito a qualquer reembolso.

A inscrição sem alojamento beneficia de um desconto de 35%.

Alojamento

Alojamento na Escola de Hotelaria e Turismo do Estoril, Av. Condes de Barcelona, 2765 Estoril, Tel. 214660999, em quartos duplos com banho. Sob pedido, será enviada lista de hotéis, pensões ou  residências da área.

Barclays Award for Young Musicians

O Prémio Barclays Award for Young  Musicians consiste em:

- Atribuição de uma bolsa de estudo ao aluno mais destacado em cada modalidade para frequência gratuita aos cursos de 2009.

- Apresentação em concerto em data e local a designar, após a frequência dos cursos em 2009

Actividades

Em simultâneo com os Cursos, decorrerá o 34º Festival do Estoril o 10º Concurso de Interpretação do Estoril assim como seminários e encontros. Os alunos admitidos na categoria de executantes têm entrada livre no Festival. A categoria de ouvintes beneficia de um desconto de 50% na compra de bilhetes avulso, ou de um passe para todo o Festival por € 75.-

General Regulations

Whenever required the student will be submitted to an audition in order to decides his/her admittance as active participant. Students who are not admitted as active participant join the course as auditor. In this case, the difference between the tuition fee for active and auditor participation will be reimbursed. Active students are allowed to attend all other courses as auditors at no extra charge. At the conclusion of every course, active students will be awarded a certificate. The best participants will be presented in public recitals.

Students without accommodation will pay 35% less for the enrolment fee.

Enrolment fee

The enrolment fee of  €  50.-  is to be forwarded simultaneously with the course application and is not refunded. The course fee must be paid in full before the first day to attend the class. Students cannot be admitted without previous registration and respective cards entitling them to admission.

Accommodation

Accommodation are available at Escola de Hotelaria e Turismo do Estoril, Av. Condes de Barcelona, P-2765 Estoril, Tel. 351/214660999. Twin bedded room with shower. A list of hotels or private rooms will be provided up on request.

Barclays Award for Young Musicians 

The Barclays Award for Young Musicians comprehend:

- Scholarship to the most remarkable student in each master class to attending freely the 2009 courses.

- Concert after attending the 2009 courses. Date and venue will be announced.

Events

The 34th Estoril Festival will take place during the period of the Courses as well as the 10th Estoril National Competition, seminars and conferences. The active students will be able to attend the concerts at free charge. The auditors are entitled to obtain tickets with 50% discount for every concert or a free-pass at € 75.- for all concerts.
